MILWAUKEE, Oct. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Managed Health Services, a subsidiary of Centene Corporation, began using a new name – MHS Health Wisconsin – Oct. 1, 2014. On the same day, it also began using a new logo.
"Our goal through the rebranding process is to improve MHS' name recognition in the managed healthcare marketplace and better reflect our company's vision and purpose," said Sherry Husa, MHS president and CEO.
MHS Health Wisconsin has served Wisconsin's Medicaid population since 1984. It is the oldest of Centene's health plans and one of the oldest Medicaid health plans in Wisconsin. MHS offers Medicaid coverage in 49 counties. MHS also offers Medicare Advantage plans in 27 counties. MHS has earned a "Commendable" rating from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for a second year.
