MGTS Improves Performance with ClickSoftware
Leading Russian telco company implements SAP Workforce Scheduling & Optimization by ClickSoftware to boost field efficiencies and customer service
BURLINGTON, Massachusetts, December 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
ClickSoftware Technologies Ltd. (NasdaqGS: CKSW), the leading provider of automated mobile workforce management and optimization solutions for the service industry, today announced the implementation of the SAP Workforce Scheduling & Optimization (WSO) platform for Moscow City Telephony Network (MGTS), a major telecommunications operator in Russia. The implementation, which is the first of its kind in the Russian telecoms industry, has enabled MGTS to significantly speed up installation times and increase efficiencies for subscribers of its GPON network in Moscow.
As part of the implementation process, the solution has provided MGTS with a rich and user-friendly suite of reporting tools to simplify administration for all internal and external staff and their tasks, and connect new broadband subscribers all over Moscow. Today optical network GPON covers about 80% of the territory of Moscow. Installations have increased to about 3 million households, which is almost twice as many as in the same period last year.
MGTS' move to offering its customers this new network service is a highly ambitious project that has required recruiting 1,500 assemblers to its workforce. In order to manage staff effectively, MGTS required a new automated system to track the activities of remote personnel.
With the SAP WSO by ClickSoftware in place, MGTS is able to efficiently process tasks for GPON deployment. MGTS can now confirm times for installations, allocate resources according to location and availability, ensuring tasks are completed within set timeframes and providing reports once the task is complete.
Due to the success of the project, MGTS is looking to integrate the solution into its mobile devices, and to expand the system beyond the GPON project into the maintenance of traditional telephony.
The Project Manager at MGTS, Andrey Berkela, said: "The solution has allowed us to significantly reduce the time taken to assign and complete installation and maintenance tasks, enabled superior long-term planning and operational management."
"Our system helps solve one of the most critical problems seen in dynamic projects for the telecom industry: predicting where resources will be needed, allocating field staff accordingly, and managing their schedules automatically," said Mark Belenky, Development Director at ClickSoftware in Russia and CIS. "We are delighted that MGTS chose to work with ClickSoftware. With our deep knowledge of the telecom industry we are confident that ClickSoftware will continue to enable greater growth and customer satisfaction."
