NEW YORK, Jan. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- MetTel, a leading communications and digital transformation company, today announced record business growth for 2017 and plans for aggressive expansion and investment in 2018.
In 2018, MetTel will be working on a number of initiatives and innovations such as:
- Artificial intelligence (AI) powered solutions and services
- A unified, cloud platform for all communications services
- New cloud data center resources in the US and globally
- A new cloud-based contact center business
- Internet of Things (IoT) expansion into healthcare and other industries
- Open source SMS applications for line-of-business workers
- Digitized branch store of the future
MetTel grew its business base and employee population by more than 20 percent in 2017, to historic highs for the 22-year-old company. It has quickly emerged as a leading digital transformation partner for global enterprises by delivering advanced solutions and services to future-proof corporate networks and mobile operations. MetTel now serves many of the largest retail, healthcare, pharmaceutical, energy, manufacturing, distribution, food and beverage, and government organizations in the world.
"MetTel has doubled in size in the past five years, and we intend to accelerate that pace," said CEO Marshall Aronow. "When the right people, business model, and strategy meet rising market demands, we must take the opportunity to double down on our success in transforming the network and mobile communications of the world's largest enterprises, including the US Government."
2017 saw MetTel advance on many fronts, but the biggest gains were in the area of digital transformation (DX). MetTel's win as part of the $50 billion federal government transformation initiative known Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS), administered by the US General Services Administration (GSA), was a momentous achievement. MetTel was one of 10 vendors named to the award and one of only three to serve Federal agencies' mobile enterprise and Internet of Things (IoT) requirements.
There were a number of other significant developments in 2017 including a tripling of the company's SD-WAN growth. MetTel's SD-WAN solution received the highest score in Gartner's 2017 Market Guide for US Alternative Branch Solution Providers. In addition, MetTel forged strategic alliances with Apple for enterprise mobility; Raytheon for cyber security; and a Telestax Partnership for open- source contextual communications. The company also launched its IoT Single SIM, the first SIM that provides continuous connectivity around the globe for any product or component by seeking out the strongest network signal. Within IoT, MetTel Fleet Management Solutions also debuted in 2017 to help organizations in the private and public sectors maximize returns on their vehicle fleets through intelligent field force automation.
In 2017, the Stevie Awards™ also recognized MetTel as a top customer service organization in the Telecommunications industry for the third consecutive year.
