Metropolitan Market and Bartell Drugs Hoist World's Largest 12th Flag for Seahawks and The Big Game

SEATTLE, Jan. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On Thursday, January 30, 2014, Seattle's Metropolitan Market and Bartell Drugs will be hosting and hoisting for the Seahawks as they march towards the The Big Game on Sunday. Together, the locally owned and operated companies will host a rally at their West Seattle corporate offices (4025 Delridge Way Southwest) and raise the world's largest #12 flag onto a stationary flag pole. At 30 by 50 feet, this massive icon will fly throughout the weekend and will be a prominent and symbolic reminder of the events at hand.

The rally, which starts at 10:30 am, is open to the public and Metropolitan Market and Bartell Drugs officials expect more than 400 fans to attend the event. The flag will be raised at 11 am by former Seattle Super Bowl team member Robbie Tobeck and local sports legend Jack Thompson. Seahawks fans are encouraged to show their colors.

Metropolitan Market Catering will be serving mini cupcakes, meatballs and additional football fare. Bartell Drugs will be serving the refreshments. Also participating and offering support at the rally include fellow tenants at the corporate office: Northland Services, Bowhead Transport, CAP Food Services, Services Group of America (SGA), Lamb Hanson Lamb and Anica Digital.
