Metropolitan Fashion Week's Closing Gala Features Celebrity Costume, Fashion Designers and a Tribute to Breast Cancer
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The 3rd ANNUAL METROPOLITAN FASHION WEEK (MFW) HOLLYWOOD CLOSING GALA - "Puttin' on the Ritz"(#MetroFW), presented by Century West BMW, showcases a unique, exclusive runway show that will feature over 150 one-of-a-kind avant-garde costumes and couture evening gowns, created by international celebrity costume and fashion designers, at Warner Bros. Studios on October 10. Hand-painted silk gowns representing such films as The Matrix and Casablanca and television's Game of Thrones, as well as canvas gowns themed with icons including Marilyn Monroe, Lucille Ball, Audrey Hepburn and Frank Sinatra, will also be presented. Costumes and gowns featured in previous MetroFW shows have been worn by such talent as Beyonce, Britney Spears and Katy Perry. The show will be hosted and produced by Eduardo Khawam, fashion expert, producer, and Telemundo, Univision and WB network's TV personality.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, there will be a special segment - "50 Shades of Pink" - in which breast cancer patients will model uniquely designed gowns in various shades of pink. Gowns will be auctioned and proceeds will benefit various breast cancer charities.
Costume Designers include Kicka Custom Design; Perry Meek (Lady Gaga's former tour stylist); Ricardo Soltero; and Inoe Vargas (Paulina Rubio's tour costume designer). Fashion Designers include Sophie Chang, Claire's Collection by Rita Mezrahi (Miss Congeniality and The Princess Diaries); Mireille Dagher (designs for Guiliana Rancic, Gabrielle Union, Morena Baccarin and Brooke Burke-Charvet); Julie Danforth, Diego Medel, Jaimie Sortino and OTT Dubai. Swig Miller is the Mask Designer. Womens' swimwear is by Adicora's Niveen Heaton; mens' swimwear is by LASC. Mens' styling is by MFW, in collaboration with SuitFellas.
