Metro Atlanta Chamber Names 2015 Global Impact Award Winners
ATLANTA, April 23, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Five companies were selected as Atlanta's most notable leaders in international business at the 2015 Global Impact Awards. The Metro Atlanta Chamber's (MAC) annual Global Impact Awards event honors international business excellence, innovation and leadership.
Award finalists and winners were honored at an April 22 luncheon event at the Georgia Aquarium.
The event winners by category are:
Foreign Investment – Panasonic Automotive Systems Company of America – A global automotive technology leader headquartered in Peachtree City, Ga. The company ranks as the third largest employer in Fayette County with 437 permanent and 400 contract employees. Its R&D division, located in the heart of Georgia Tech, is committed to innovation and startups in the automotive and electronic space.
Global Business Growth – The Task Force for Global Health – The Task Force for Global Health administers programs to improve the health of millions of people by creating access to vaccines and strengthening health systems in the developing world. In recent years, the Task Force has become the largest philanthropic organization in Georgia and the fourth largest in the U.S. This recognition helps strengthen metro Atlanta's brand as a hub for global health.
Global Partner – Georgia Council for International Visitors (GCIV) – The Georgia Council for International Visitors (GCIV) is a non-profit organization dedicated to building metro Atlanta's positive image globally. The organization works with the U.S Department of State to develop a broad spectrum of professional and cultural exchange programs for emerging world leaders during their visits to Georgia.
