MetricStream Appoints Steve Springsteel as Chief Financial Officer

PALO ALTO, Calif., Jan. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- MetricStream, the market leader in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Apps, has announced the appointment of Steve Springsteel as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Mr. Springsteel brings over 30 years of domestic and international experience in operational and financial management. His accomplishments include the management of two successful IPOs, as well as multiple mergers and acquisitions. He also has extensive experience in SAAS and cloud businesses, raising equity and debt funding in the public and private marketplaces, as well as formulating and implementing complex business strategies.

Mr. Springsteel joins MetricStream from Actian, where he was CFO; responsible for all general and administrative functions (Finance, Legal, HR, IT, Facilities, Sales Operations) of the company. While at Actian, he helped double company revenues and successfully integrated four companies. Prior to that, he was CFO for MarkLogic, maker of an enterprise NoSQL database, and he also served as Entrepreneur-in-Residence for U.S. Venture Partners. Springsteel also held President and CEO positions at software firms including Chordiant Software, Verity and Sagent Technology. As Chairman, President and CEO of Chordiant, he steered the organization to profitability while more than doubling the company's bookings to record levels.
