MetLife Added to High Five Tour 2016 National Sponsorship Team
OMAHA, Neb., May 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Wounded Warriors Family Support is proud to announce that MetLife has been added as a national sponsor for the High Five Tour 2016.
Founded in 1868, MetLife is a global provider of life insurance, annuities, employee benefits and asset management. MetLife serves approximately 100 million customers and has operations in nearly 50 countries.
MetLife joins Edgewood Management Group and Gilla as the tour's national sponsors.
"MetLife's sponsorship will continue to help us make a real, tangible difference that will change the lives of deserving wounded warriors and their families," said Col. John Folsom, USMCR (Ret.), founder and president of Wounded Warriors Family Support.
The seventh annual High Five Tour makes its first stop from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 27 at Laird Noller Ford in Topeka, Kansas. During the five-month tour, Wounded Warriors Family Support's 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 – wrapped in a patriotic design – will travel more than 26,000 miles during a trek to 100-plus cities in 48 states.
"This tour's mission is to say thank you and show appreciation to military families for their sacrifices," Folsom said. "We encourage residents to sign the vehicle during a tour stop with a message of gratitude to our country's veterans and families."
The tour's goal is to raise $1 million, which will sustain Wounded Warriors Family Support's programs to support combat wounded veterans and their families. The MetLife Foundation has offered a $75,000 grant for the tour.
