Consideration for the Top 100 begins each year in January, when companies are first nominated. Following the nomination period, participants are engaged in a company-wide survey, created and managed by WorkplaceDynamics, to evaluate employee morale, fulfillment and satisfaction. To qualify for the Top 100, survey responses are required from at least 35% of a company's employees.

The winning companies, which include privately owned and publicly held companies, as well as non-profits and government agencies, are scored and ranked according to a unique algorithm developed by WorkplaceDynamics. This year's Top 100 Places to Work were announced during a luncheon hosted November 8 at the Dallas Omni Hotel, with a special presentation by Dr. James B. Maas.

According to those who have won a place on past Top 100 lists, the recognition can be instrumental in employee growth and company improvement. WorkplaceDynamics provides winning companies with a 10-page executive summary of their survey results, with options for more comprehensive analysis.
