Method and Creative Growth Present a Limited Edition Art Collection for Countertops
Four artists' prints are available exclusively at Target
SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Method Products, PBC — a long time champion of using creativity as a powerful agent of change — has partnered with Creative Growth, an Oakland-based nonprofit art center that serves adults with disabilities for a limited edition product collection.
Founded on the belief that art should be accessible to all, Creative Growth provides a nurturing space for artistic development and expression. This curated collaboration features the impeccable work of four Creative Growth artists paired with four new fragrances inspired by the artists' work, including palm garden, jasmine lily, cedar spice and vanilla sky. The collection is available exclusively at Target for $3.49 each from now through the end of the year.
"At method, we truly view cleaning as an act of creative expression," said Doug Piwinski, CMO of People Against Dirty. "Creative Growth's powerful and meaningful work has inspired us to produce a limited edition collection that celebrates these incredible artists, and enables us to bring their art — and their stories — to more people."
The commissioned Creative Growth artists and their work include:
- Aurie Ramirez — a delicately rendered watercolor + ink cloud pattern evokes a fabulous fantasy world.
- Allan Lofberg — an introspective, abstract pattern rendered in a sophisticated, bold palette.
- Maureen Clay — a beautifully intricate pointillist pattern in a dense blossom of rainbow hues.
- Barry Regan — carefully crafted organic circles are layered over a subtle texture of lush watercolors.
"Our mission is to understand how everyone is a part of the creative community," said Tom di Maria, director of Creative Growth. "Our partnership with method is about valuing how our artists can be seen as contemporary designers, and how their art can enrich the everyday experience of people."
