Meteorologist Joe Lauria of Fox4 to be Master of Ceremonies at Early St. Patrick's Day Celebration with Tenor Anthony Kearns on Saturday, March 3, 2012
KANSAS CITY, Mo., March 1, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Award-winning Meteorologist Joe Lauria of Fox4 will be Master of Ceremonies at an Irish-themed musical reception featuring Irish Tenor Anthony Kearns at Harrah's North Kansas City this Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Kearns, the original founding member of THE IRISH TENORS, will perform with accompanist Dale Morehouse of UMKC. The Irish celebration coincides with the grand opening of the 100th anniversary exhibit at Union Station Kansas City called Titanic: The Artifacts Exhibit.
Why an Irish Tenor and the Titanic? The RMS Titanic was built in Belfast, had an Irish crew and made her last port of call in Southern Ireland. Titanic historians, Theresa Nelson and Lowell Lytle, will make appearances during intermission, as noted in The Kansas City Star.
"I'm pleased to be a part of this kick-off for Kansas City's St. Patrick's Day Season with one of Ireland's finest singers, Anthony Kearns, and preview the Titanic Exhibit," said Lauria.
Tickets are $35 for regular seating and $45- $60 for preferred seating. Tickets for the post-performance V.I.P. Irish Coffee & Dessert Reception are $50 per person, and include a rare opportunity for guests to meet Mr. Kearns and the Titanic experts in person (and get a first-hand look at rare artifacts from the ship). Purchase tickets at Harrah's (in person) or online at: http://goo.gl/u4MZ3.
SUPPORT for the event includes: The Irish Music Association, The Kansas City St. Patrick's Day Parade, The Kansas City Irish Festival, University of Notre Dame Kansas City Alumni Chapter, and Snake Saturday Parade & Festival, among others.
