Message from the Governor General of Canada Following the Death of the Honourable Pierre Claude Nolin

OTTAWA, April 24, 2015 /CNW/ - It is with sadness that I learned of the death of the Speaker of the Senate, the Honourable Pierre Claude Nolin. Canada has lost a great man who was respected and admired by his colleagues. He will always be remembered by those who were privileged to know him and appreciate his character, independence of mind and integrity. My wife, Sharon, and I join with Canadians in offering our deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
