The 120,000-square-foot Mesa campus includes 30,000 square feet of custom-designed space for its new MRO activities as well as a second engine test cell and facilities for nondestructive tests and inspections.
The Mesa facility operates under the authority of an FAA Air Agency Certificate, FAA PMA and approvals from the U.S. Air Force, the European Aviation Safety Agency and other international aviation agencies. It is also an authorized repair center for Goodrich Pump and Engine Control Systems and has received ISO9001/AS9100 certifications, which are reserved for manufacturing centers with exceptionally stringent quality standards.
"Reliability is our customers' number-one concern, and ensuring reliability starts with quality," Paulhardt said. "Our certification is another reflection of the integrity behind our processes that builds trust in Timken."
At Mesa, skilled technicians repair and overhaul fuel controls and pumps, as well as drive-train components for both military and commercial rotorcraft.
