Merry Christmas Indeed! Anonymous Donor Gives $20,000.00 to Fatherhood Educational Institute
CHICAGO Dec. 15, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- An anonymous donor has gifted $20,000.00 to the Fatherhood Educational Institute (FEI) to fund key fatherhood initiatives including the development of a Virtual Visitation Program for Incarcerated Fathers.
This holiday gift supports the FEI's mission to provide innovative educational tools and support reuniting fathers and their children throughout the year.
"We are excited and extremely grateful to receive this very timely gift," says Attorney Timothy O'Grady, a director of FEI. "This generous donor, who wishes to remain unknown, will hopefully change the lives of many children by helping them to reunite and re-connect with their fathers through electronic communication. With this gift, we hope to leverage internet technology for the benefit of the community," said O'Grady.
Members of FEI's Board of Directors, who are all volunteers, have been consulted for aid in important fatherhood issues.
In an effort to reach indigent fathers and families in the Chicagoland area, FEI volunteers donate their time to host and produce the insightful Chicago Counterpoint Talk Show which airs on CAN TV-Channel 21. This television show is an initiative of FEI. FEI representatives have been seen and heard on leading news and current issues programs such as: CNN, FOX, TruTV and MSNBC.
Anyone wishing to donate to FEI directly may contact Jennifer Whiteside at (312) 795-9060. Donations are also accepted online at: www.fatherhood-edu.org. FEI is a 501(c)(3) organization and all gifts are tax deductible.
