Meridian Health Plan to Serve Iowa Medicaid Population

DES MOINES, Iowa, Feb. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Meridian Health Plan has been selected by the State of Iowa to provide managed Medicaid health services to beneficiaries through a contract with the Iowa Department of Human Services (IDHS).

Meridian Health Plan (MHP) is a physician-owned and physician-managed health plan.  Dr. Andrea "Andy" McGuire, President/COO, leads the Iowa program, which is based in Des Moines. Starting March 1, 2012, she will begin coordinating coverage for Medicaid members within eastern Iowa.
