Meridian Health Plan Growing Team by Over 700% and Moving Offices
CHICAGO, June 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Meridian Health Plan is moving its office from 222 N. LaSalle St. to 333 S. Wabash Ave. on July 1 in response to the expanding business needs of the company.
"Since January, we have added 50 jobs in Illinois and expect to add over 100 more by the end of the year," said Michael Cotton, Meridian's President. "Growth of this magnitude necessitated additional space which 333 S. Wabash was able to provide." In addition to the job creation in Greater Chicago, Meridian is actively expanding its employee base throughout the state in key areas such as Rockford, Quad Cities, Peoria and Metro East which is expected to yield total staffing growth of over 700% by the end of 2013.
The new office, equipped with the latest technology and enough space for the expanding staff, has Illinois employees excited for the move.
"Meridian's new space will allow us to continue providing excellent care to our current members as well as the new Seniors and Persons with Disabilities and Dual Eligibles we will be serving later on this year," said Dave Bilbrey, Meridian's Manager of Operations.
Mr. Cotton went on to say, "With our expanded and growing staffing and resources we are much better equipped to ensure we continue to meet our mission of continuously improving the quality of care in a low resource environment."
