Men's Wearhouse Joins Forces with "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" to Give One Couple a Dream Wedding
Men's Wearhouse donates tuxedos for tragedy-stricken couple on ABC reality show's series finale
HOUSTON, Jan. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Men's Wearhouse has joined forces with ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" by donating tuxedos to help a couple who experienced tragedy realize their dream wedding. Not only will this be the largest build that Ty Pennington and the Extreme Team have completed, building seven homes in seven days, but it will also be the final episode in a series that has run for nine seasons, culminating in its 200th episode.

The couple was among the thousands of people left without a home after tornadoes ravaged the town of Joplin, Mo., in the spring of 2011. With their home being rebuilt, the couple had one last step on the road to recovery: to get married.
On May 22, 2011, as the heart of the storm approached, Scott Ely, Natalie Gonzalez, and her 10-year-old son all huddled together for safety. The force of the storm crumbled their shelter and Scott was pulled into the air. If they survived the storm, Scott vowed, they would get married. Now, nearly eight months later, the couple is getting a new home and the wedding that Scott promised.
Men's Wearhouse Steps Up
"Men's Wearhouse is always looking for ways to support men in need, and when we heard this story, we knew we wanted to help make their wedding dreams come true," stated Sam Stogner, Vice President of Formalwear at Men's Wearhouse. "It's so much more than building a house; it's giving a deserving family a fresh start, and it is an honor to join forces with 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' to give back to those who have lost so much."
From tuxedos to suits, Men's Wearhouse is known for its generous giving − most notably, The National Suit Drive. Through this annual drive, gently used business attire is collected and then distributed to disadvantaged men who are struggling to reenter the workforce. "Men's Wearhouse was founded in the belief that every man deserves a good suit, and through our philanthropic outreach, we are making it happen, one man at a time," Stogner said.
