Men Face One-In-Six Risk For Prostate Cancer - SET the PACE 5K PACE & Family Walk Race Raises Awareness
DENVER, Aug. 31 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Too many men don't know their risk for developing prostate cancer, a disease that currently affects more than two million American men. In fact, according to a recent report, 61 percent of men only know "a little" and an additional 20 percent say they know nothing about prostate health. This knowledge gap is of critical importance given that one in six men has a lifetime risk of developing prostate cancer.
WHAT: An annual race, The SET the PACE for prostate cancer 5K Run & Family Walk, is a family event that is dedicated to raising awareness and providing education on prostate cancer for men, and the women in their lives. Honoring patients, survivors and their family members the race provides a fun day of activities for the whole family and kicks off Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
