Based on the most rigorous workplace research ever conducted, the award honors organizations whose employee engagement results demonstrate they have the world's most productive and engaged workforces. They average a ratio of engaged employees to actively disengaged employees more than five times the national ratio and more than 20 times the ratio of workforces globally.

Gallup Workplace Award was created to recognize companies with an extraordinary ability to create an engaged workplace culture. Companies are judged on multiple criteria, including response rates, overall engagement levels and evidence of engagement impact on performance. Applicants' results are compared across Gallup's renowned workplace research database composed of 7.5 million respondent and 965,000 work teams in 177 countries worldwide.
