Memorial Blood Centers Adds New Senior Leadership Talent
ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Memorial Blood Centers is pleased to announce the appointment of Kenneth P. Kieffer as the nonprofit's new Vice President of Collections, Recruitment, and Product Planning. Mr. Kieffer, who has been serving as a consultant for Donor Recruitment at Memorial Blood Centers for the past four months, will begin transitioning into his new role immediately.

Most recently an independent consultant working with various independent Midwest blood centers, Mr. Kieffer is a 25-year veteran in the blood banking industry, serving in a variety of leadership positions with the American Red Cross at both the national and regional level. As Chief Operations Officer and Director of Operations for the Los Angeles Region—one of the nation's largest Blood Services Regions—he improved blood drive sponsor participation to increase collections and achieve the 5th largest blood collection level nationwide.
