Memoir Recalls Faith-Filled Journey Through Loss
GREENSBURG, Pa., July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Tomorrow's Promise (published by WestBow Press) shares author Mary Elizabeth Robinson's unforgettable story about a powerful testament to faith and its impact on life, death and resurrection.
When Robinson lost her mother, father and brother, her life changed forever. To those not blessed with a faith-filled heart, the events might seem tragic and unimaginable. But, Tomorrow's Promise is a story of struggle turned to triumph. Robinson's faith in God revealed an amazing power at a pivotal time in her life, offering her comfort in a moment of supreme challenge.
Robinson's mother died when she was just 12 years old, and she prayed for courage and strength to enable her to move ahead. As difficult as it was, Robinson found temporary peace. To add to the disruption, her father remarried just 10 months after her mother's death.
Years later, her father was diagnosed with cancer. She remained steadfast in her faith and belief in a world beyond this earth. His death was unexpected, and this was the first time she witnessed someone taking their last breath. Their relationship was tumultuous throughout her life, but she missed him dearly.
Just seven years later, her older brother became victim to cancer. Robinson had grown close to her brother as an adult, but had struggled with their contempt when they were younger. Her brother's illness was not easy to digest; Donnie was only 40 years old. This unexpected conflict was emotionally exhausting, yet it was the most significant moment in her life because it revealed to her the power of God. It was a blessing -- a divine gift of knowing because of her strong conviction of faith.
In Tomorrow's Promise, Robinson says she learned it was her life's purpose to experience these struggles in order to understand the power of God and how we are always connected to our loved ones after death. She also learned the importance of prayer. She learned that death is not the end. She learned that these messages must be shared with others who struggle with death. Her brother's life was her profound journey about life, death and life after death.
