Members of Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS® Donate to Foster Children
SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Members of the Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS® donated over $3,000 worth of school supplies to local foster children, helping them begin the new school year with the required tools to learn.
SCCAOR's donations went to the Kinship, Adoptive & Foster Parent Association of Santa Clara County, a non-profit that provides support and resources for foster and adoptive families in Silicon Valley. Donations will directly impact underprivileged children in this county's foster care system.
SCCAOR members donated cash, backpacks, pencil boxes, erasers, pencils, notebooks, binders and crayons.
"One of the best chances foster children have to succeed in life is through community support for a good education," SCCAOR President Karl Lee said. "As the school year starts, we see it as a great opportunity to help make a difference for the less fortunate children in our community. We are proud of our REALTOR® and affiliate members who make generous donations to this important cause."
SCCAOR President Karl Lee can be reached for comments by e-mail ([email protected]), phone or text messaging (408.205-1726).
