Melissa Burch Joins Lend Lease Americas to Lead New York Development Business

NEW YORK, Jan. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Lend Lease, one of the world's largest international property and infrastructure providers, is pleased to announce the appointment of Melissa Burch as Executive General Manager, New York, for the Americas Development business. In her new role with Lend Lease, Melissa will lead and grow our development business in the New York market, pursue and identify development opportunities and large-scale urban regeneration projects throughout the greater metropolitan area, as well as support our development efforts nationally.

Prior to joining Lend Lease, Ms. Burch served as Executive Vice President for Forest City Ratner Companies where she had overall responsibility for commercial and residential development. In this role, she oversaw the development of the Atlantic Yards project, a public/private partnership development extending 22 acres and comprised of the Barclays Center and 8M SF of new rental and condominium housing, office, retail space, and eight acres of public open space. In addition, Melissa spearheaded various projects throughout the New York City region and supervised the on-going leasing of Forest City Ratner's office and residential operating portfolios.

Ms. Burch received her Bachelor of Arts in Government from Harvard College and her Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Henry Street Settlement, The Coro New York Leadership Center and the Citizen's Budget Commission. She is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, Urban Land Institute, and WX New York Women Executives in Real Estate. In 2013 she was named by Crain's Magazine as one of New York's "40 Under 40" Rising Stars.
