Mele Printing Makes the Most of Pitney Bowes AcceleJet with DocOrigin
CAPE CORAL, Fla., June 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Eclipse Corporation, a provider of enterprise document generation solutions, announced today that New Orleans-based commercial print provider, Mele Printing, has selected DocOrigin from Eclipse to support their investment in to Pitney Bowes AcceleJet technology.
Mele Printing was the first company to put the Pitney Bowes AcceleJet into production. The AcceleJet is a state of the art production printer capable of producing high volumes of transactional documents like invoices, statements and other customer correspondence. Since these documents are important customer touch-points, many of Mele's customers wanted to expand their marketing efforts to include these routine documents, using full color and dynamic targeted marketing messages. Mele selected DocOrigin to fill that need and allow the company to expand its service offerings and provide robust customer communications for their clients.
"A few years ago, highlight color was the main draw for our clients producing transactional customer-facing documents," says Mike Badeaux from Mele. "Now full-color is in demand; especially for companies who want to be able to use their statements to do some marketing. We adopted the AcceleJet and DocOrigin to be able to offer that; very good quality full-color at a reasonable cost."
According to Badeaux, the idea behind the service goes beyond just the physical printing, to include a more strategic approach to customer marketing. "This has allowed us to create output statements that look really good, but can also offer clients the ability to market directly to customers by putting ads and targeted messages directly on their statements in full color."
Making the most of their investment at Mele also meant keeping a printer like the AcceleJet running efficiently and productively. "In the commercial print industry time is money and seconds count," says Steve Luke, CEO at Eclipse. "Unlike other solutions, DocOrigin drives the Pitney Bowes AcceleJet printer at its rated speed and improves the workflow in a rather complex production environment."
Badeaux agrees, and points to the efficiencies gained as another important benefit for Mele. "The biggest thing is that our processes are much easier. We use the template feature of DocOrigin for 85-90% of our business, and that allows us to create PDFs from 40 or 50 different data streams, merge it into one output stream, and drop them right on to the printer to be able to be print and mail."
