In celebration of the milestone, megabus.com awarded customer Lena Jackson, from Akron, Ohio, with an Apple iPad Mini during a celebration event Monday morning at the megabus.com arrival/departure location at the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) Stephanie Tubbs Jones Transit Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
With fares starting as low as $1, plus a reservation fee, megabus.com has expanded rapidly over the course of its seven-year existence, from serving seven cities to/from Chicago in April 2006 to now serving more than 120 cities across North America.
Notable service expansions over the last three months include the additions of Columbia, S.C. and Fayetteville, N.C., helping megabus.com reach 32 states served. In the last year, the company has increased sales by 20.3 percent in North America.
