MEF LatAm Elects New Board of Directors at MEF AMERICAS 2011
Diverse MEF LatAm Board will shape, connect and help monetize the face of mobile content and commerce across the region
MIAMI, Dec. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- MEF, the global community for mobile content & commerce, has announced the results of its hotly contested LatAm board elections. Ron Czerny, Playphone CEO was re-elected as Chairman of the Board and Jorge Partidas, WAU Movil Founder & CEO was re-elected as Vice Chair. This year there were 12 open seats on the Board; new member companies now represented include Movile, Naranya, Binbit, Nokia and Turner Broadcasting. Spring Wireless, Mobint, KPMG, TIMWE and Buongiorno were re-elected.
The election took place during MEF Americas 2011: Mobile Content and Commerce in Miami, where over 250 North and Latin American thought leaders and influencers from retail, entertainment, finance, and technology gathered for focused deal-making and industry-shaping debate.
