MedScope's Aggressive 2015 Expansion Focuses on Medicaid Waiver and Managed Care Organizations
WYNNEWOOD, Pa., March 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Building on the momentum of the first quarter of 2015, MedScope (www.medscope.org), the leading provider of medical alert systems, has announced aggressive plans to expand its Medicaid Home and Community Based Waiver Services (HCBS) program and Managed Care business models.
The first quarter addition of new contracts in Texas, Tennessee and Louisiana is a result of MedScope being awarded 16 regional contracts to span statewide coverage in each state. This brings the total to 12 states whose Medicaid care coordinators recognize that MedScope is the trusted partner to provide them with exemplary Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) services, competitively priced monthly monitoring, complimentary installation with all referrals and a full array of devices to meet the individual needs of their members. MedScope is credentialed for all waivers that offer PERS in these states.
MedScope's announcement that it is expanding its rapidly growing Managed Care Organization (MCO) business has come with immediate, positive feedback. MedScope is already an in-network provider for such leading health plans as Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, Amerigroup, United Healthcare, Superior, and Molina for their dual eligible (Medicaid/Medicare) members. These companies, which provide for the delivery of health benefits and additional services such as PERS through contract arrangements between states and MCOs, value MedScope's strengths and realize the benefits of working with a leading national company with years of experience with the Managed Long Term Support Services (MLTSS) model.
In making today's announcement, Raymond Smith, MedScope President said, "The rapid growth of our government contracts and MCO business is a direct result of the unique MedScope value proposition. We provide coverage in each state with no limitations, our installations are free and we often charge a flat rate monitoring fee for all of our devices, whether it be a Land Line PERS, Cell PERS, PERS with Fall Detection, or Mobile PERS. This helps to meet the specific need of each consumer."
"With our proven track record of success we are well-positioned for significant additional expansion to other states and are actively working on national contracts with MCOs that provide PERS services to members across the country," Mr. Smith concluded.
