Medolac Hires Doug Hawkins as Senior Executive
To Lead its Corporate Affairs and Partnerships Efforts Worldwide
LAKE OSWEGO, Ore., Sept. 30, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Medolac Laboratories (Neolac, Inc. dba) www.medolac.com, today announced the hiring of J. Douglas Hawkins as the company's Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs. This new position was created to drive Medolac's corporate development efforts globally. Mr. Hawkins will be reporting directly to Medolac's founder, president and CEO, Elena Medo.
As the SVP of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Hawkins will be responsible for managing efforts to maximize Medolac's impact in global markets, including identifying and developing partnership, alliance and cooperative agreements with key corporate, government, hospital, international organizations and non-governmental organization (NGO) stakeholders. He also will be responsible for global public affairs and issues management.

Mr Hawkins, 47, comes to Medolac from Pfizer/Wyeth Nutrition where he served as Vice President of Public Affairs and Policy for several years. During his tenure, Mr. Hawkins was responsible for overseeing corporate and government affairs at HQ and in key markets, including teams in several important South East Asia, greater China, Middle East and Latin America regions. He led successful efforts to implement Pfizer's responsible marketing commitments in a challenging compliance environment, led collaborative initiatives that positioned Pfizer Nutrition favorably amongst its peers, and successfully managed high profile issues affecting the business across the world. He also brings a wealth of experience from the multilateral public sector, having worked for more than a decade leading Treaty operations activities at the United Nations agency responsible for intellectual property in Geneva, Switzerland. He has chaired several committees including the PhRMA industry committee on global issues and served on various boards including the advisory board of the GW Law School Creative and Innovative Economy Center.
