PARAMUS, N.J., Aug. 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Medics BedManager, as part of the Medics Clinical Suite for Addiction Disorders from Advanced Data Systems (ADS), now has newly enhanced features boosting its already-powerful automation for bed management.
At a glance and in real time, detox and residential administrative teams can view data on beds that are currently occupied, and by whom. Bed type, size, location, and any program(s) / level of service applicable to each bed's occupant are also displayed, as is the occupant's gender.
Medics BedManager supports automatic charge posting at time of discharge, eliminating the need for multiple notifications from bed or floor managers. Alerts are transmitted to authorized system users across the enterprise in Medics as beds become ready for waiting occupants, resulting in significantly increased bed utilization.
The number of authorized days is counted down in Medics BedManager ensuring unauthorized days are not inadvertently provided. Midnight census-taking is supported and is tied into billing, as per the facility's own billing preferences. Medics BedManager works hand-in-hand with Medics' medication administration records (MARs) workflow.
David Barzillai, President of ADS, said, "Empty beds with people waiting for those beds is a pain point for any detox and residential facility administrator. Medics BedManager overcomes that by being an invaluable tool for managing and tracking bed status, literally minute-by-minute. And, user-defined bed management reports are eye-opening, giving administrators and financial teams the key performance indicators (KPIs) needed to operate with a bottom line focus. We're proud to assist so many addiction disorder and behavioral health organizations with automation that maximizes their revenue, efficiency and productivity."
As with all of Medics systems, Medics BedManager is created, supported, updated and trained-on by ADS. It is not an expensive, second or third party add-on utility.
The Medics Suite for Addiction Disorders can be implemented in cloud or customer hosted configurations with the PM and EHR as a single, unified solution, or separately as needed.
MedicsRCM™ is available for addiction disorder and behavioral health organizations if outsourced revenue cycle management services is preferred.
