The group will meet on a regular basis to oversee all clinical quality measures as they pertain to MSN's Joint Commission Health Care Staffing Services Certification, while collectively representing the company with the chairperson serving as Chief Nursing Officer. The Council is made up of the following MSN leaders:
- Marisa Zaharoff, MSN, RN, Senior Vice President of Performance Outcomes
- Hank Drummond, PhD, RN, Executive Vice President of Operations
- Dave Stillmunkes, BSN, RN, Senior Vice President of Operations
- Donna Ramey, MSN, RN, Director of Clinical Services

"Medical Staffing Network is committed to advocating clinical excellence and firmly believes in the importance of Joint Commission certification. With the introduction of accountable care and healthcare reform, delivering quality care and earning top-performing patient scores is paramount," said Dr. Brian Poplin, President and CEO of Medical Staffing Network. "We commissioned the creation of the Clinical Quality Council to harness the industry leading clinical expertise of MSN's leadership team, channeling the organization's collective knowledge and best positioning MSN to serve our customers as they navigate the new regulatory landscape."
Zaharoff has been an influential member of the leadership team from the start of her employment with Medical Staffing Network in 2007, when MSN acquired AMR ProNurse, where she functioned as the Director of the Company's OneSource Managed Services Program. Added Dr. Poplin, "Ms. Zaharoff has held roles of increasing responsibility at MSN, including VP of Quality Improvement and VP of West Coast Operations, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the needs of the business and preparing her for the exciting growth the organization has planned for the future."
Using the Plan-Do-Check-Act methodology, the council will review, monitor, evaluate and discuss performance improvement activities, while providing clinical support and guidance and collaborating on the implementation of quality improvement best practices that help meet performance goals, such as reducing clinical and professional incidents. Concluded Dr. Poplin, "A number of technological and operational systems will be employed on an ongoing basis and at a variety of organizational levels, in order to ensure measurable improvements in performance and quality, which is the ultimate goal of MSN's Clinical Quality Council."
