In a 2015 survey, a whopping 84% of the American populace supports the legalization of medical marijuana. The sales of legal marijuana increased in the United States by roughly 17% in 2015, resulting in $5.4 billion total sales. A new economy of cannabis is sprouting. While many traditional business ventures take years to become profitable, almost 90% of dispensaries, recreational marijuana stores, commercial cultivators, and infused products companies report breaking even or making a profit in 2016. The U.S. marijuana industry has created an estimated 100,000 to 150,000 new work positions nationwide.
HempStaff has trained and certified more than 2,200 dispensary agents nationwide and continues to hold classes across the United States, with many more slated for 2017. HempStaff is also a recruiting agency; when business owners contract us to find entry-level dispensary or cultivation site workers, students who successfully pass the course are contacted first.
HempStaff's course offers participants training about cannabis and cannabis products along with all the information to keep up-to-date with Pennsylvania medical marijuana laws. The course is completed with a certification exam, and HempStaff offers a resume review to help best prepare them for seeking employment.
"Great speakers, extremely informative and knew their stuff when it came to answering our questions. Covered a lot of material in a short period of time. I would highly recommend to anyone who is interested in a career, or if someone just wants to educate themselves about the benefits and types of medicinal use," said one recent student about their experience with the course. HempStaff provides a number of testimonials on their website from satisfied students who gained knowledge and appreciated the resume assistance in order to find work in the industry.
