One of this year's Innovations Briefs highlights is Wednesday's special panel, "The Future of Medical Technology" (May 23 at 2:30pm). Led by UBM's Director of Content, Rich Nass, this live Q&A panel will feature renowned inventor Dean Kamen, and MDEA Lifetime Achievement Award winner Dr. Thomas Fogarty.
Mr. Kamen and Dr. Fogarty are two of the most important and innovative minds in the medical device industry today. Mr. Kamen, an inventor, entrepreneur, and advocate for science and technology, holds more than 440 U.S. and foreign patents. Dr. Fogarty, who has founded or co-founded more than 33 medical companies, holds 135 patents on surgical instruments, including the Fogarty balloon embolectomy catheter, which revolutionized vascular surgery.
