Medical Care Technologies Inc. Begins Construction on Children's Healthcare Center
BEIJING, June 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Medical Care Technologies Inc. (OTCBB: MDCE), a growing children's healthcare service provider, announced today that, with financing in place, it will begin construction on its new pediatric center.
Teddyberry™ and Company, the new name of the health center, is a 4,000+ square foot children's health and wellness facility strategically situated in the heart of Dongguan's high end commercial district, and is within close proximity to major international schools, educational tutoring facilities and other medical entities. The location will encourage partnerships and allow Teddyberry™ to capitalize on synergies between the various organizations at the emerging healthcare destination.
The new top-tier pediatric facility will focus on the unique and varied needs of children and bring a depth of specialized healthcare that isn't offered today in Dongguan. The Teddyberry™ healthcare facility will provide access to a full-line of preventative pediatric care to the Megacity region through coordinated patient-centered healthcare services, medical and allied training, educational programs as well as pediatric prevention services and child advocacy programs.
In addition to being child and family-friendly, Teddyberry™ will incorporate high performance, environmentally friendly and sustainable design concepts into the clinic. Management will be actively involved in the planning and design of the center. The Company's design team consists of internal and external healthcare business experts, clinicians, architects and individuals collaborating to provide critical insight into pediatric care delivery. In keeping with Medical Care's commitment to excellence, the Company has already engaged well-renowned and highly respected design and planning consultants with a depth of experience in healthcare design. Site work is anticipated to begin in July and Management fully anticipates meeting its opening deadline before spring 2012.
"We have worked very hard on this project for many months now and our dream of building a state-of-the-art children's health and wellness center for Dongguan and its neighboring areas is finally coming to fruition," said Luis Kuo, COO of Medical Care Technologies Inc. "We are creating an integrated pediatric healthcare system for the future that will have far reaching benefits."
