Medical Alarm Signs With Industry Leader Harrington Multi Media - Harrington CEO, "Hands Down the Best Product on the Market!"
PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa., Oct. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Medical Alarm Concepts Holding, Inc. (OTCQB:MDHI), manufacturer of the MediPendant™, the first fully-monitored medical alarm system that allows the user to speak and listen directly through the pendant, today announced the signing of a marketing and distribution agreement with Harrington Multi Media Marketing LLC (HM3), one of the leading producers of infomercials and short form direct television spots. The two companies plan to return the MediPendant™ to television advertising in order to capitalize on the large and growing market for personal emergency medical alarms (PERS).
Tim Harrington, CEO of HM3, commented, "We are highly experienced with this type of campaign, and throughout the course of my career, I have generated over $4 billion in sales of products and services. I believe the MediPendant™, with its two-way voice through the pendant technology, will be highly successful within this large and proven category of personal medical alarms. We look forward to working with the Medical Alarm Concepts' team, and we believe in this product so much that we are willing to invest our own money in the production of a commercial for MediPendant™, and the purchase of television and other media time on a national basis. On a personal note, and before I even had any relationship with Medical Alarm Concepts Holding, I researched the product category for my elderly father and determined that MediPendant™ was hands-down the best product on the market for him."
Under the terms of the agreement, Harrington will finance and produce a new television and Internet-based marketing campaign for the MediPendant™. Additionally, Harrington will, at its sole discretion and expense, be responsible for all of its costs in connection with the marketing of the products. This will include financing all television media and purchasing units from the Company at a pre-arranged price. Medical Alarm Concepts will book all revenue from the joint venture splitting net profits on a 50-50 basis. The Company has commenced a marketing program on the Internet with a different organization on a similar basis as the agreement with HM3. All sales made through this program will be excluded from the sharing agreement.
"The market for personal medical alarms is very large, valued well in excess of $100 million per year. We have long known that we have the product to revolutionize this space, and now we have the right partner on board to make this happen. With our recent financings in place, a commitment from a private investor group to fund us moving forward, and a clear marketing plan in place, we believe we can be highly successful in accelerating the movement of the MediPendant™ in the marketplace," commented Howard Teicher, CEO of Medical Alarm Concepts Holdings, Inc.
A standard PERS system does not enable the user to speak and listen through the pendant, thus limiting them to a small area in their home. There is always the risk that the user will not be heard by the call center operator if they are not within a short range of the base station. MediPendant's™ patented two-way voice technology enables the user to speak and listen directly through the pendant no matter where the user may be in and around their home. MediPendant™ service also includes advanced features such as three-way calling that enables the operator to link loved ones directly into the emergency call in real time. Text message alerts are also standard, and are used to inform loved ones that the user has contacted an operator or has requested assistance.
