Mediatek Executive Joins WiSpry's Board of Directors
IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- WiSpry, Inc., the leader in tunable radio frequency (RF) semiconductor products for the wireless industry, today announced the addition of Ed Healy, senior advisor to the chairman of Mediatek, to its board of directors. Mr. Healy has been in management, marketing and engineering roles in the semiconductor industry for over 20 years.
Prior to Mediatek, Healy co-founded and was the CEO of Acertus Technologies where he successfully led the acquisition of Acertus Technologies by Mediatek. Before founding Acertus Technologies, Healy was CEO of Cubic Wafer Inc., a leader in 3D semiconductor processing. As CEO he led the transition of the company from a product business to an intellectual property business and then a successful acquisition of the company. As the vice president and general manager of Silicon Labs' Wireless Division, Healy pioneered and led the unit from its inception through its growth and market leadership in RF devices for the wireless industry.

Mr. Healy holds a bachelor of science degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a master of science in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, an MBA from Santa Clara University, and a master of science in management from Stanford University. He served as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army from 1977 to 1988, where he held a number of leadership positions. He was also an associate professor of Electrical Engineering at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
