Additionally, there are many Americans in unique situations, including LGBT couples and parents of children with special needs, where having a smart financial plan is even more critical and complex.
Who:
Jamie Hopkins, Esq., J.D., M.B.A., is available as an expert source on all aspects of estate planning, including intellectual property rights as well as digital estate planning. He has published multiple papers on the subject, including "Afterlife in the Cloud: Managing a Digital Estate." He is an Associate Professor of Taxation and holds the Larry R. Pike Chair in Insurance and Investments at The American College. He received his MBA from the Villanova University School of Business Fellowship program.
Dr. Craig Lemoine, Ph.D., CFP, is available to speak to small business succession strategies and how LGBT couples can plan an estate in states that do not recognize same sex marriage. Dr. Lemoine led the development of the newly redesigned Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation. The ChFC® prepares advisors to meet the real life, advanced financial planning needs of individuals, professionals and small business owners. He is the Chartered Financial Consultant program director at The American College and holds the College's Davis Distinguished Professor of Financial Planning Technology.
Sophia Duffy, JD, CPA, is available to speak to cash flow and valuation management, as well as how parents with a special needs family member can provide for the care of the individual through estate planning. She is an Assistant Professor of Business Planning at The American College. She completed her Juris Doctorate (JD) from the Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law in 2012.
