Registration: https://dieselforumevents.webex.com/dieselforumevents/onstage/g.php?t=a&d=669828103
(This event is open to the media and public but it is recommended you register early for your reservation.)
The press conference will highlight the national registration information compiled by R.L. Polk and Company and for all types of clean diesel and hybrid passenger vehicles – cars, SUVs, pickup trucks and vans – in all 50 states and the District of Columbia from January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2013. The Forum will also provide other insights and commentary on growing interest in clean diesel technology in the marketplace and as a key technology for the future.
"Clean diesels and hybrids are clearly the two highest-mileage vehicles on the market and they are both showing impressive growth in the U.S. as consumers seek more fuel efficient vehicles," said Allen Schaeffer, Executive Director of the Diesel Technology Forum.
"And while both clean diesels and hybrids comprise smaller percentages of the overall U.S. vehicle market compared to many other nations, their national registrations are growing in virtually every state in the nation.
"While we were most interested in the clean diesel data, the new R.L. Polk and Company data also shows some interesting trends in which states are having the most overall diesel and hybrid growth, and which states have the highest number of these high-mileage vehicles."
Topics that will be covered in the press conference include:
- The trends of national and top state registrations for clean diesels and hybrids compared to the total vehicle market;
- The Top 10 states for fastest growth of clean diesels and hybrids;
- The Top 10 states for total clean diesel and hybrid registrations;
- The top states for clean diesel car, SUVs, pickup trucks and vans.
