"This exciting event brought all of our distributors together and included a broad and well-organized overview of the various aspects of the MedClean distribution program, including the unveiling of our Technology enabled Solutions (TeS) platform which means our product and services combined programs are now capable of being used for any sized medical waste generator," commented David Laky, MedClean's President and CEO. "As our first event, our theme was 'First.' Accordingly, we offered a few special promotions to the distributors for firsts by the end of the third quarter, including the first distributor sale for each distributor, the first MedAssets sale, the first rental program sale, as well as other incentives. In addition, we provided an important overview of MedAssets and the introduction of MedClean as one of only 50 vendors on the MedAssets high ROI program. We introduced our newest partner, Covidien, presenting their disposable sharps program. The feedback from the event was extremely positive and we believe the new programs we developed throughout 2010 and were able to introduce at this meeting will assist our distributors in accelerating their efforts and drive sales leads through our system."
Brett Espicha, CEO of Barnett Medical Systems, added, "We were thrilled to attend this inaugural event, and we emerged even more excited about the opportunity with MedClean. The turnout was impressive, with a strong group of established and proven distributors and partners representing coverage across the US and Canada. MedClean has developed and introduced a wide range of programs that will help the distributors sell the systems in the marketplace. These programs, including the MedAssets High ROI initiative, Covidien Sharps, Waste Stream Analysis audits through an independent firm, and the introduction of the MedClean Rental program, will help us expand our business and our relationship with MedClean during 2011. Our mission at Barnett is to empower hospitals with solutions to take their medical waste from cradle to grave in the most cost effective, independent and environmentally sound way. That is why we partnered with MedClean and the programs introduced during the kick-off meeting will help us achieve these goals."
Mr. Laky continued, "At this meeting, we reiterated our expectation of at least two sales from each distributor in the first year. I believe we are making steady progress against this goal, as the first three distributors we signed have each closed a sale. I am also excited about the response we received regarding our exclusive rental program, which creates approximately 30% savings for hospitals without the up-front costs, creating an immediate and significant ROI."
