MECHTRONIX ANNOUNCES ORDERS FOR TWO A320 FFS LEVEL D
MONTREAL, Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ - Mechtronix Systems, an MWC Company, a world leading manufacturer of Flight Simulation Training Devices ("FSTD"), today announced it has received orders for two A320 FFS X™ simulators; both to be qualified Level D - the highest level of qualification for full motion simulators. The orders include one A320 FFS X™ for the Mexican carrier Interjet and one for an undisclosed customer in the Middle East region. These new FFS acquisitions strengthen Mechtronix presence in the Airbus simulation and training market.
In Mexico, Interjet recently opened a brand new training facility in Toluca which houses a Mechtronix A320 FFS X™; the airline will soon be ready to train their pilots at their base of operations. This is Interjet's first FFS and the first A320 full motion simulator to be installed in Mexico in twelve years. Interjet's pilots will have unlimited access to the device; optimizing crew coverage while lowering training costs by reducing time away from the line and travel expenses. The simulator will be evaluated by the Mexican Aviation Authorities, Direccion General de Aviacion Civil, following FAA 14 CFR Part 60 standard for Level D.
The second Mechtronix A320 FFS will be delivered in the Q2 of 2011 into the Middle East and will be qualified by the UK Civil Aviation Authorities to gain Level D qualification. This unit will support the airline customer's Airbus fleet expansion.
Both simulators will feature electric motion base, RSI Image Generator with 200x40° field of view display systems providing exceptional visual fidelity via higher resolution, brightness and contrast ratio. These orders fit into the MWC group's mission to support fast growing airlines by providing them with assistance and services related to flight operations and training.
