Mears Transportation Launches New App for Taxi Service

ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mears Transportation recently launched a new app for taxi service that allows users to reserve a cab right from their smartphones.  In less than one month, over 900 customers have downloaded the app and hundreds are already using it to request taxicab services.  The app will service Mears taxicab companies Yellow Cab, Checker Cab and City Cab, and make the process of ordering transportation faster, simpler and more convenient than ever before.

The Mears Taxi smartphone app contains a GPS locator to confirm your exact location and send a taxi immediately or schedule a pickup time.  Once the app is downloaded, customers confirm their location and tap "Now" to order a taxi - it's that simple.  The customer can see the number of the assigned vehicle and track it as it travels to their pickup location.
