MDRejuvena, Inc. announces case studies show major improvement in subjects with facial redness and rosacea after use of topical sodium copper chlorophyllin complex
SAN DIEGO, Oct. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- MDRejuvena™, Inc., a private company focused on skin health, announced the publication of case studies focusing on the positive effects of topical copper chlorophyllin complex in subjects with facial redness and erythematotelangiectatic rosacea. The studies, published in the October 2015 issue of the Journal of Drugs and Dermatology, demonstrate a topical formulation containing a liposomal dispersion of sodium copper chlorophyllin to be clinically effective and well tolerated for the treatment of facial redness and erythematotelangiectatic rosacea over a four week period with continued improvement over time.
Rosacea, which affects at least 16 million Americans, is associated with significant facial redness. Several other skin conditions are also associated with facial redness, which is a common issue encountered in clinical practice. "Until very recently, there was no effective anti-redness product for this population of patients. These case studies fill this void with remarkable and gratifying results," according to dermatologist and author, David B. Vasily, MD of Aesthetica Cosmetic and Laser Center in Bethlehem, PA.
In the case studies, titled "Topical Treatment With Liposomal Sodium Copper Chlorophyllin Complex in Subjects With Facial Redness and Erythematotelangiectatic Rosacea," sodium copper chlorophyllin complex was employed to treat symptoms associated with facial redness and rosacea. In these cases, sodium copper chlorophyllin complex was shown by way of before/after photos and the use of Colormeter a* readings to significantly reduce facial redness, decrease pore size and improve skin texture when used twice daily for four weeks.
Salts of copper chlorophyllin complex are naturally-derived compounds with anti-aging, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-redness activity. Sodium copper chlorophyllin in a liposomal complex, branded as Phytochromatic MD™ Complex, is the primary ingredient in the Rejuvaphyl™ Redness Recovery product from MDRejuvena.
