MDHI Prepares Entry into China in Conjunction with JTT-EMS LTD
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., Dec. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Medical Alarm Concepts Holding, Inc. (OTCQB: MDHI.PK), today announced it has signed a marketing and operations agreement with JTT-EMS LTD of Shijiazhuang, China to bring the MediPendant™ personal medical alarm to the People's Republic of China. This agreement follows the recent shipments of product to Denmark and the consummation of an agreement with a large alarm company in Scotland, both with plans to begin marketing the MediPendant™ in the first quarter of 2013. Under the terms of the agreement with JTT-EMS, the parties have started the planning process with an initial strategy of offering the MediPendant™ in select cities in China. They plan to provide monthly monitoring services within a new joint venture business arrangement.
"JTT-EMS is a well established operation that employs several personnel who are very familiar with the features and functions of the MediPendant™," commented Ronnie Adams, CEO of Medical Alarm Concepts. "We have done our research, and have determined that there is a high demand for personal medical alarms in the Chinese marketplace. We believe this joint venture allows us a ground floor opportunity in one of the fastest growing and largest markets in the world. China is our third international opportunity, and we are very excited about our international expansion plans."
Mr. Adams added, "We continue to expand our business opportunities at a time when our revenues are growing at a strong rate. The strength and expertise of the JTT-EMS staff will enable us to leverage our current resources and to take advantage of their local knowledge of the Chinese market. We believe this is a strong strategic alliance that will advance our agenda to expand the distribution of our unique personal medical alarm product."
The MediPendant™ is a second-generation personal medical alarm and the only product in its category that allows for voice prompts and monitored, two-way communications directly through the pendant. Older generations of technology require the user to be in close proximity to the base station in order to speak and listen to the operator. With the MediPendant™, the customer can be anywhere within 600+ feet of their home and in the event of an emergency, they can speak and listen to the EMT-trained operator directly through the pendant.

About MDHI
Medical Alarm Concepts Holdings, Inc. (MAC) develops and manufactures innovative products and practical solutions within the framework of a vast growing marketplace. MediPendant's™ patented two-way voice technology enables the user to speak and listen directly through the pendant no matter where the user may be in and around their home. MediPendant™ service also includes advanced features such as three-way calling that enables the operator to link loved ones directly into the emergency call in real time. Text message alerts are also standard, and are used to inform loved ones that the user has contacted an operator or has requested assistance. A standard PERS system does not enable the user to speak and listen through the pendant, thus limiting them to a small area in their home. There is always the risk that the user will not be heard by the call center operator if they are not within a short range of the base station.
