McRoskey Mattress Company Throws "Welcome Home Party" for UltraMarathon Man Dean Karnazes

SAN FRANCISCO, July 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Fresh off his "Run Across America," UltraMarathon Man Dean Karnazes will greet fans, share stories about his recent cross-country run and sign his latest book, "Run! 26.2 Stories of Blisters and Bliss" at two "Welcome Home" parties hosted by McRoskey Mattress Company.  The parties are scheduled for July 13, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m., at McRoskey Mattress in Palo Alto (220 Hamilton Avenue) and July 21, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m., at McRoskey Mattress in San Francisco (1687 Market Street).  Karnazes, a McRoskey enthusiast, sleeps on the premium mattress when at home in the Bay area and also on the road: his "Run Across America" bus was specially outfitted with a customized McRoskey mattress.

On the recently completed "Run Across America", which was coordinated by ABC-TV, the ultra-athlete Karnazes ran nearly 3,000 miles - from California to the ABC studios in New York City - averaging 40 – 50 miles daily. The coast-to-coast challenge was designed to inspire Americans to get active and aid in the effort to fight childhood obesity and undernourishment.
