McLane Advanced Technologies Wins SAMS-E Re-Compete Contract
TEMPLE, Texas, Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- McLane Advanced Technologies (MAT) has been awarded a $52.3 million contract from the United States Army as the prime contractor to provide Program Management Support for SEC-Lee and the Standard Army Maintenance System – Enhanced (SAMS-E). Work on this contract will begin October 2010 for a period of three years.

As prime contractor, MAT led the winning team in this proposal effort comprised of Northrop Grumman IS, GlobalSCAPE, Logistics and Technology Services (LTS), CALIBRE Systems, HCI Integrated Solutions, SAIC, and Joint Logistics Managers. As a maintenance systems modernization initiative, SAMS-E is a bridge between current system functionality and the future Global Combat Support System – GCSS Army. The United States Army originally entrusted MAT with modernizing three logistics systems to equip military personnel with up- to-date capabilities that support enterprise resource planning. MAT has fielded SAMS-E to over 6,100 units at more than 200 sites worldwide. MAT also provides training for SAMS-E that has included over 17,000 U.S. Army personnel.
