McKool Smith Principal Rosemary T. Snider Elected President of the Board of Governors of The Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit

DALLAS, May 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- McKool Smith attorney Rosemary T. Snider was elected last week as the next president of the Board of Governors of The Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit. The Association's meeting convened in conjunction with the 2013 Judicial Conference of the Fifth Circuit, which took place May 6-8 in Ft. Worth. Ms. Snider, who has been a member of the Board for 20 years, will begin her two-year term as president in October.

The Board of Governors was created to formulate policy and administer the affairs of The Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit, which covers Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi, and to supervise and direct the officers, committees, employees, and agents of the Association. Within its covered area, the Association seeks to improve and facilitate the administration of justice in federal courts; raise the standards of proficiency and integrity in federal practice; and work with the trial and appellate courts to develop and implement effective, efficient, and uniform rules of practice and procedure.
