McKissack & McKissack Names David Kane as Chief Operating Officer
Continuing the Company's Expansion, Adding an Industry Veteran to the Team
NEW YORK , Sept. 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- McKissack & McKissack (www.mckissack.com), the nation's oldest minority-owned construction firm, announces that David Kane will join the firm as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Previously, Kane was Executive Vice President of the Capital Program Division at the New York City Economic Development Corporation.

Kane will be taking the helm of McKissack & McKissack's New York Region as the company's first Chief Operating Officer.
Trained as a civil engineer, city planner, and project manager, Kane has been involved in some of the most complex large-scale projects in New York City during his past 15 years at New York City Economic Development.

Kane's impressive experience includes the development of the City's minor league baseball stadiums in Staten Island and Coney Island, streetscaping projects in the commercial corridors of Bedford-Stuyvesant, area-wide developments such as Willets Point and Hunter's Point South in Queens, the demolition of the old Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, the restoration of public parks in the footprint of the old Stadium, and the construction of a new classical theater in Brooklyn's emerging BAM Cultural District.
