McKean Defense Named to Washington Technology Fast 50
PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- McKean Defense Group, LLC has been named as one of the Fast 50: the Fastest Growing Small Business in Government Contracting by Washington Technology Magazine. McKean, with a Compound Annual Growth rate of 81.46% for the period 2006 to 2010, ranked number 36 on this list. This was the first year that McKean was eligible for Fast 50 consideration.
"This August marks McKean's fifth year anniversary. Our team focuses on strategic technical partnerships with our Navy customers, and rapid growth has been the result," said Joseph L. Carlini, CEO of McKean. "Based on 2011 results to date, we expect to see almost double the growth we had projected for the year. I am, however, most proud of the recognition our customers have given us, and the confidence they have placed in McKean as shown by recent awards."
Over the last twelve months, McKean has captured prime contracts with NAVSEA, NSWCCD Philadelphia, and NSWCCD Carderock. In response, McKean opened offices in Washington, D.C. and expanded facilities in Philadelphia and Portsmouth, VA.
