McKean Defense Awarded Navy Warfare Center Contract

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- McKean Defense Group, LLC announced today that it was awarded a $34M contract to provide engineering and management support for Auxiliary Systems. The single award cost plus contract was awarded by the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Philadelphia Division, and has a five-year period of performance.

"With ten years of support to Navy Hull, Mechanical & Electrical programs, I am proud that our team continues to delight the customer, and capture follow-on work."  McKean celebrated its tenth anniversary in August. The company has been successful in retaining over 90 percent of their contracts that have been recompeted.

Tasking includes alteration support, equipment life cycle management, Ship Change Document (SCD) development, data collection and analysis, system design, development and testing support, and logistic product development. The work will support the Life Support and Ventilation Systems code.
