McHenry County, Ill., Residents to Benefit From Verizon Wireless Network Enhancements
New Cell Site Means Clearer Reception, Fewer Dropped Calls
SCHAUMBURG, Ill., Feb. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless has activated three new cell sites in McHenry County that expand network coverage, enabling more customers in the area to use their wireless phones concurrently to make calls; send and receive email and text, picture and video messages; access the Internet; view high-quality videos; and download music, games and ringtones, while enjoying clearer reception and fewer dropped calls.
The new cell sites, which are equipped with permanent backup generators for times of emergency, expand Verizon Wireless' voice and data network are located in the following locations:
- Johnsburg: from Ringwood Road in the north to Elm Street in the south, and from Richmond Road in the west to Chapel Hill Road and Wilmot Road in the east;
- McHenry: from Bull Valley Road in the north to Wright Road in the south, and from State Highway 31 in the west to River Road in the east;
- Woodstock: from Noveen Parkway in the north to State Highway 176 in the south, and from County Highway 21 in the west to State Highway 47 in the east.
