McGuireWoods to Host Charitable Golf Tournament in Maryland

Team Registration for Golf Tournament Now Open

BALTIMORE, June 27, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- McGuireWoods LLP announced today that it will host the 13th Annual Franciscan Youth Center Golf Tournament, in support of the local community center's school-based youth development program. The 26-year-old center serves children from disadvantaged communities throughout Baltimore City, but specifically from east Baltimore's Barclay-Midway and Waverly communities.

The event will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at the Timbers at Troy golf course, voted one of the "Top 100 Golf Courses" in the mid-Atlantic by Golfstyles magazine. Registration and a continental breakfast begins at 7 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. and lunch at 1 p.m. Community members may participate by registering here. Monetary donations and silent auction contributions are also welcome.
